Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair Removal

Excess Hair: Laser hair removal is a fast, safe, and effective treatment for eliminating unwanted hair. Thermal energy is selectively absorbed by the target chromophore – melanin – for destruction of the hair follicles in target tissues. With GentleMax Pro laser hair removal there is no more shaving, tweezing or waxing. Areas indicated for treatment include the face, underarms, legs, back, bikini line, and other areas.

Pseudofollicular Barbae: Pseudofolliculitis Barbae is an inflammatory condition of hair follicles. Razor bumps may affect men and women of all ages, skin types or genetic backgrounds wherever shaving takes place. There are two types of Pseudofolliculitis Barbae: Transfollicular – hair have cleared the follicle but re-entered back again. Extrafollicular – hair have not cleared the skin’s surface and remain underneath, causing inflammation, fluid build-up and irritation.

GentleMax Pro

GentleMax Pro is a dual wavelength laser platform that combines two separate laser sources, a 755 nm Alexandrite laser and a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser, in a single delivery system.

A controlled amount of therapeutic energy is delivered individually, or optically combined in each pulse and delivered to target tissues.

Thermal energy is selectively absorbed by the target chromophore – melanin – for destruction of the hair follicle in target tissues.

For hair reduction in darker skin types a significant thermal injury is created in dark coarse hair while sparing the epidermal pigment.

A cryogen cooling system is integrated for enhanced patient tolerance.
